Hustle Hack #15: The 3-Click Rule
The 3-Click Rule for Affiliate Links
If it takes your audience more than 3 clicks to get from your content to the checkout page, you’re losing sales. Two clicks are even better.
Every extra step = drop-offs.
It's called "friction." Every bit of extra work that you make your audience do to buy your affiliate promotion gives them another excuse to just abandon the process, and you lose the sale.
Here’s how to keep it simple:
1️⃣ Link directly when possible. If your program allows it, link straight to the product or landing page, not a homepage where they’ll have to hunt.
2️⃣ Cut the clutter. Don’t bury your affiliate link under paragraphs of text. Place it early, and repeat it naturally where it makes sense.
3️⃣ Use clear CTAs. Buttons like “Grab it here” or “Start your free trial” guide the eye and increase clicks.
✨ Your Hustle Hack: Fewer clicks = more conversions. Make it easy for people to say YES.
