Hustle Hack #36: Batch for Outreach
Batch Your Graphics for Bigger Reach
Creating one pin, one IG post, one FB graphic at a time is like doing laundry one sock at a time — inefficient and exhausting. And it keeps your social outreach in the slow lane.
While you might wish to have a more curated, intentional social persona, your business will not thank you for your intentions.
You really don't know who will see your posts, where or when you post will pop up on their feed. That's why you need to be everywhere your audience hangs out. Yes, you still need to be intentional, you just need to balance your vision with the need for speed.
After all, you do have a business to run rather than social feed to fill.
So...what's the secret to creating social posts at scale? Batch your graphics.
Typically, creating graphics takes the biggest time chunk in social posts. By creating graphics that you can use across platforms and tweak to create more images, you amp up your creative output.
Here’s how to batch:
1️⃣ Pick one template you like in Canva or whatever graphics tool you use. Take a bit of time to add your brand colors, a logo, or something unique to you. Create templates in the ideal size for each of the platform.
2️⃣ Duplicate each template 10–15 times for each platform. If you are only posting on one social platform, double that number.
3️⃣ Swap the text, change the background photo, or switch the colors. They don't have to be wildly different. Odds are good that your audience will only see 1-2 of them.
In one sitting, you’ve got a week (or even a month) of content ready to post.
Benefits of batching:
✅ Efficiency. Design brain and writing brain don’t mix. Focus on one mode at a time.
✅ Consistency. Your visuals stay on-brand because you’re working from the same base.
✅ Sanity. No more scrambling at 10pm to make “just one post.”
Pro tip #1: Save your branded templates (colors, fonts, logo) in Canva. Each time you batch, it gets faster.
Pro tip #2: Use a social scheduler to batch your social posts. Schedule out a week (or a month's worth) of content. Want to see my favorites? Check out my Resources page on my blog.
